Another world-class forward?
According to The Mirror, Barcelona forward and French international Ousmane Dembélé has been linked with the Champions League winners following reports that Barcelona are looking to clear out their squad.
There may be legs to this too, as Dembélé has described Liverpool as an ‘attractive prospect’. Who wouldn’t think that? Dembélé featured 29 times in La Liga last season, scoring 8 goals and 5 assists but towards the end of the season, he fell out of favour with Valverde. A move on the cards?
Averaging 1.6 key passes and 2.3 dribbles per game, the Premier League has been crying out for Dembélé to bless the pitch, with the Frenchman initially linked to Arsenal. But now it looks like Liverpool could get his signature…
Whilst Liverpool are looking increasingly likely to hold onto their front three, the opportunity Dembélé gives is something unique. With the ability to muster chances on both feet, the 22-year old has bags of potential and menacing pace. Too good to pass up?
