Some Arsenal transfer news for you all…
Sampdoria Double Swoop
According to the Daily Star, Arsenal are returning to dealings with Sampdoria in a £44 million duo move.
Having signed Lucas Torreira from the Blucerchiati last summer, Dennis Praet and Joachim Anderson are now on Unai Emery’s radar as he looks to a rebuild a formidable Gunners side in a pivotal summer at the Emirates.
Anderson has had an excellent breakthrough season in Serie A and would be a much needed addition to the North London side’s back line, partnering Rob Holding in central defence. 2 years older at 25, Praet has made over 100 appearances for the Italian outfit and, with rumours of Granit Xhaka leaving for Inter, would also be a necessary acquisition for the Gunners.
There has been some interesting rumours floating around the Camp Nou in recent days that suggest that Barcelona could be interested in Arsenal left-back Sead Kolašinac. Honestly, I am not sure whether it’s the inability to defend or perhaps his quality in cutting the ball back to onrushing midfielders that makes him attractive to possession-based Barca, but it has meant that Arsenal have been on the lookout for a replacement.
In steps Kieran Tierney. At 22, years-old, the Celtic left back has been an everpresent in the side that won the SPL once again this season. Dynamite pace and an eye for a low driven cross, something it is clear that Unai Emery favours, could mean Tierney could be on Arsenal’s radar.
At a reported value of £25m, would you take him at your club?
Fedor Chalov is a weird one. According to the Mirror, the Russian has entered Emery’s sights following the potential departure of both Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Alexandre Lacazette. The CSKA Moscow striker scored against Arsenal in the Europa League this season and is currently the Russian Premier League top scorer, with 15 goals from 30 games.
With Monaco and Sevilla also rumoured to be interested, can Arsenal’s ‘£40m budget’ stretch to another striker?
