After weeks of negotiation with the North London club and a club record fee agreed, Tanguy Ndombele’s move to Spurs is getting closer to completion.
Sky Sports have reported that the Lyon midfielder has arrived at Tottenham’s training ground and is currently undergoing a medical as we speak. A week or so ago, the Lilywhites agreed a club record £65 million fee for the highly rated French midfielder.
The fact Juventus and other top European clubs were interested in signing Ndombele speaks volumes about the player as well as how well Spurs have done to secure his signature. He is an industrious midfielder able to run up and down the pitch for days possessing the technical ability to drive the team fowards alongside the physicality and his defensive qualities.
The 22 year old is without doubt one of the best like for like Moussa Dembele replacements on the market for Mauricio Pochettino and really signals a statement of intent from Tottenham. Now the stadium is complete, they have money to spend and are showing the ambition that can help build on their memorable 2018/19 campaign last season.
