Arsenal and Tottenham target Andersen responds to interest

News coming out of Italy!

Joachim Anderson has had an excellent breakthrough season in Serie A and would be a much needed addition to the North London side’s back line, partnering Rob Holding in central defence. He would also help bolster Spurs’ strength in depth, as he is able to function at both the back and in midfield. He has spoken…

In an interview with Goal.com:

“I have loved my time in Sampdoria but maybe it’s time to move on to develop further.

“There are a number of interesting clubs from Europe’s biggest leagues who are discussing with my agent and I’ll be making a decision shortly together with my family and my agent.

“I have dreams of playing in the biggest clubs in the world and the biggest leagues in the world”.

Now, whilst these quotes hint towards a move to Arsenal and Tottenham, who have both shown huge interest, there are rumours coming out of Italy that Andersen could be on his way to Milan, to link up with former manager Marco Giampaolo.

“He is known as one of the best coaches in Italy when it comes to defensive organisation. I have learned a lot from him and he has made me a more complete footballer.”

It will certainly be interesting to see how this story develops and, if he goes to Arsenal, whether Dennis Praet will go with him
