Transfer Roundup: Man Utd’s Wan Bissaka alternative, Van de Beek to Spurs? and Neymar wants out at PSG

United to have Aarons as a contingency plan

Despite reports of substantial bids being prepared for Aaron Wan-Bissaka, Manchester United have another right back in if Palace don’t budge.

According to Sky Sports News, the Red Devils interested in Norwich defender Max Aarons if more substantial bids for Crystal Palace’s exciting prospect continue to get rejected.

What makes Aarons’ position more interesting is the Eagles will make him their number one target to replace AWB if he leaves for Old Trafford in the coming days.

The 19 year old Canaries right back was instrumental in their automatic promotion in 2018/19, winning EFL Young Player of the Season and making it into the Championship’s PFA Team of the Year. Aarons has also been linked with Tottenham and RB Leipzig in previous windows.

Neymar unhappy in Paris

With rumours surfacing of growing discontent in the French capital, Neymar continues to be linked to a move back to Spain.

The world’s most expensive player’s move to PSG has failed to deliver him the Ballon D’Or he craves and, according to SPORT, the Brazilian wants to return to La Liga, with French golden boy Kylian Mbappe now taking the spotlight.

Chairman Nasser Al-Khelaifi will be unwilling to sell Neymar, who has continued the Parisians’ sheer domestic dominance and become the face of the PSG brand. Yet the former Barcelona winger continues to be a figure of speculation with moves to either the Blaugrana or Los Blancos more attractive prospects than the project in France.

The fee to take Neymar out of PSG will have to astonishingly high though and potentially outside of the Madrid and Barca’s budgets.

Donny Van de Beek seeks Premier League move

Following comments from top Dutch journalist Marcel van der Kraan, Donny Van de Beek has his eyes set on a move to the Premier League, citing that “He is a Premier League-type player with an Ajax education and can play many positions in midfield.”

He certainly has the physical attributes to make it in the Premier League, and according to van der Kraan, he would prefer a move to Tottenham Hotspur, or perhaps even Manchester United. The fee is rumoured to be around £50m and with many across football watching his every move, who will Van de Beek opt for?
