BREAKING NEWS: Danny Rose unsure on future at Tottenham

After 11 years with Spurs, it looks like the end is nigh for Danny Rose’s time at Tottenham.

In a recent interview following England’s win against Switzerland in the Nations League 3rd Place Play-off, the full-back told Sky Sports: “If I am [at Spurs next season], great. If not, great. It’s no secret I’ve been linked with a move in the media. And it’s the club’s policy to move players on when they reach a certain age”.

Those do not seem like the words from a man who is certain on his future, and thus expect a saga to form surrounding the full-back this summer.

In recent times, Danny Rose’s dominance over the LB/LWB position in Mauricio Pochettino’s team has been challenged, with Ben Davies pushing the English full-back all the way. Last season, we saw the duo rack up over 20 appearances each, highlighting that the Argentinian coach doesn’t have a distinct favourite between the pair.

Rose may realise, at this point in his career, it may be beneficial for him to have a cemented role in a team, perhaps to help prolong his England career. However, with injuries heavily impacting on the explosiveness Rose used to bring to the Spurs attack, it may be time that the North London club cashed in on Rose.

With Everton and United seeming the frontrunners in the race for Rose, it seems that we will be seeing Rose moving up north; the question is: where?
