DEADLINE DAY: Chelsea stalling over Willian to PSG?

With Neymar out for up to three months, the Parisian club are looking for cover in the wide positions.

They have identified Willian as their ideal replacement, but according to Sky Sports’ Kaveh Solhekol, Chelsea are playing hard to get, with the English club telling the Parisians that he is not for sale. In reality, we all know that, in football, everyone has a price

Struggling with form this season, it may be time for Willian to seek pastures new, as fan opinion on the Brazillian is plummeting by the minute. Tweets exclaiming that ‘”they would pay PSG to take Willian off their hands” are commonplace, and highlight the end of Willian’s career in South London is near.

Still more than capable of being an effective depth option, the 30 year-old winger would provide impressive cover for Neymar in his absense, and allow, once the Samba star returns, to have adequate competition in his place. It is likely this will be an 11th hour deal, with Chelsea trying to draw as much money out of the French champions as they can but, for now, it is a waiting game…

TIME TO SAY GOODBYE:
Was Willian’s cameo in Chelsea’s 4-0 defeat to Bournemouth the last time we will see him in a Chelsea?
