Despite links to China disrupting his frame of mind throughout this January window, Marko Arnautovic will remain at the London Stadium (Sky Sports).
The Irons have wanted to keep their Austrian striker at least until the end of the season, having rejected bids of £35 million from China.
Arnautovic, who has 26 goal contributions in 47 Premier League games over the last two seasons, just announced on Instagram he has chosen to stay in London.
The club are reportedly in talks to sign Maxi Gomez from Celta Vigo, for a fee of £45 million (his release clause). Yet this assurance over Arnautovic’s future and commitment towards the club perhaps means they will end negotiations over a move for the La Liga striker.
