What could Christopher Nkunku bring to Arsenal?

The Gunners have been linked with a loan move for Denis Suárez from Barcelona for the whole window but now they have another midfielder on their radar: Christopher Nkunku.

Nkunku has been at Paris St Germain since the age of ten but even at your boyhood club, a lack of game time can get frustrating. The French central-midfielder has made thirteen appearances this season in Ligue 1 for The Parisiens, the majority coming from the bench (487 minutes played). It was always going to be tough for the 21-year-old to break into that world-class PSG midfield of Marco Verratti and Adrien Rabiot so a loan move might be best…

Style of Play

Standing at 5ft 9in, the Frenchman is a versatile midfielder, able to play in the middle or wider. Short, direct bursts of speed through the heart of the opposition midfield and towards the back four makes him an awkward customer to deal with. Also, his ability to ride challenges means it is difficult to shrug the France U21 international off the ball.

A clean striker of the football from outside the area and avid determination to get on the end of crosses inside could be just what Arsenal need, with Aaron Ramsey set to join Juve next summer if not sooner. He is the perfect suitor to get onto the end of a Kolasinac driven ball across the box and with the quality to finish, be excited Arsenal fans!

Arsenal are already in advanced talks so it may not be long before we see Christopher Nkunku in red and white (if only on a loan, for now).
