Former AC Milan and Portsmouth midfielder Kevin-Prince Boateng is closing in on a move to the Nou Camp, according to Fabrizio Romano.
The Ghanaian, currently playing for Serie A side Sassuolo, is set to join the Blaugrana on an initial £1.8 million loan, with an option to buy of £7 million.
Boateng, who has played in 4 different countries for 8 different teams, is set to return to La Liga in a surprising switch just months after joining Sassuolo. He has won Serie A with the Rossoneri as well as the DFB Pokal with Frankfurt and is looking to add to his trophy cabinet with the Catalan Club.
“Barça, I’m coming! I’m sad to leave Sassuolo but is a great chance. Don’t ask me about Real Madrid… is just the past! I only want to focus on Barcelona and I hope to score at Bernabéu for the next Clásico”Boateng on his move to the Nou Camp
