The Ole Gunnar Solskjær effect. A Norweigan super talent from the snow-filled area of Tromsø is set to arrive at Carrington with his father.
This would be Solskjær’s first signing since arriving as manager of Manchester United on 19th December 2018. The 14-year-old attacking midfielder has caught the eyes of scout all over, including Liverpool, Everton and of course: Manchester United.
It’s hard to tell you a specific style of play considering his age, but what we’ve seen from the grainy videos of the ‘wonder kid’ is his magnetic control of the ball and his resilience, refusing to give up or get shrugged off the ball. It’s clear there will be weaknesses to his game, but one for the future? Certainly.
What could be an issue is that he has only played for his age group (U14) at Tromsø IL, quite unusual when you think about the talent he supposedly possesses. We aren’t writing him off, just think it is peculiar that he hasn’t gone up into higher age groups. Maybe it’s how the Norwegians do it.
The deal will be a pre-contract, turning into a pro contract once he turns 17. Hansen-Aarøen will stay in Manchester and train with their youth team.
